Drunk Driving Accident Leaves One Dead in Cottonwood
On Sunday, December 9th, a Whitmore resident was ejected out of his vehicle when he was hit from behind off the South Main Street exit in Cottonwood by a drunk driver.
Jacob Dahlem, 22 was driving southbound on the I-5 at about 3 a.m. when he exited the South Main Street exit at high speeds, lost control of his vehicle and rear ended a 1986 Toyota pick-up truck. The driver of the Toyota was ejected from their vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Jacob Dahlem was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail.
